Renault Sherpa

Country of Origin: France

This HUMVEE-like vehicle is the truck of choice for the French Military as well as NATO.  Released in 2006, this truck packs a mean punch when it comes to power.  The Sherpa is powered by a 4.76-litre diesel engine that delivers 215hp and a whopping 590lb-ft of torque to all four wheels. Some readers might recognize the Sherpa from the famous Dakar Rally.  The truck in that race was the civilian version which Renault sells by special order in Russia, Africa, and the Middle East.  The civilian version is available as a wagon or pickup while the war-zone duty version comes in a fully armored wagon.  This kind of style doesn’t come cheap though, the civilian version currently sells for $272,000 USD.
