2018 Tesla Model 3
Did you order one on faith alone? Let’s hope you did if you want to sniff one in their first few years of production. With over 400,000 pre-orders, the Model 3 is going to take a while to become available to the general public. An extended range, good performance and good looks has this Tesla looking to be the best. It’s also going to have the hardware fitted for autonomous driving. It is setting itself up for the future of self driving cars.
Infiniti Q80
From concept to reality in 4 to 5 years. The Q80 is slowly trudging along towards production. This car was revealed in 2014 and has had people clamoring for it ever since. The Q8 is tasked with taking down the Mercedes S Class at the top of the line luxury sedan category. It’s even been hinted that the suicide rear doors may stick around in the final production model, but those hints might be more teasing than anything else.
2018-2020 Porsche EV Sedan
The Porsche EV Sedan is based on their Mission E prototype. Porsche is going hard in the EV market along with the rest of Volkswagen and if these are the cars they are producing, then by all means keep them coming! This concept car is breathtaking and if Porsche can keep things reasonably similar, they are going to be selling a lot of vehicles.
2020+ Apple Car
Alright, this opens up a whole bag of worms right away. Please note the picture above is purely a concept made to make it look like a phone. It’s in no way a functioning automobile. However Apple is partnering with BMW and investing 1 billion dollars into potential vehicle production. That’s not an investment to be made lightly. Apple is the king at monetizing their fan base and if they
2019 RX-9
The RX series of sports cars has been Mazda’s contribution to the “different” car market. The cars have always been sleek and perfect for after market modding. But the use of a Wankel rotary engine has always been a mixed bag. While technically a more efficient and power producing engine, issues and repairs are far more expensive. It’s unknown if the RX-9 will be fitted with a rotary engine or not as of now. For the sake of engineering, lets hope they stay with it!
2019 Ford Ranger
The Ford Ranger was produced in North America for 29 years though it finally stopped in 2012. Well be prepared folks, it’s coming back! The Ranger was the last compact pickup to really be sold in the United States. The Ranger has been selling and selling well internationally, and Ford’s realized it’s time to bring it back to the land of pickup trucks!
2018 Kia Stinger GT
The Kia Stinger GT proves that Kia wants to be more involved in the “fun” market. The Stinger GT is meant to be a Japanese foil to the sporty entry-level luxury vehicle area dominated by the Germans. The Stinger will come with two engine options, and the 365 hp twin-turbo V6 option will put it at least within shouting distance of the C-Class AMG and M3.
2020 Jeep Pickup Truck
The upcoming Jeep Pickup Truck is based on the Jeep Crew Chief which is making the rounds with automotive magazines. The love child of a Jeep Wrangler and a Humvee, the Crew Chief is a bit ridiculous, but Jeep designers have indicated some of the pickup truck design is there to be seen on the crew chief. The final design isn’t even completed yet though, but we have great expectations.
2019 Lamborghini Asterion
The Lamborghini Asterion is a bit of a departure for Lamborghini when it comes to their styling and their philosophy. The Asterion is sleek and smooth. In Lamborghini terms it’s almost boring. But the more classic and demure styling hides a hybrid behemoth. The combination of the electric motors and the V10 combine for a pretty solid 890 horsepower.
2017 Maserati Alfieri
Maserati knows how to make beautiful cars that’s for sure. The Alfieri concept was showcased in 2014 and 2015 and hopes to arrive by the end of 2017 or early 2018. The Alfieri is expected to have between 410 and 520 horsepower and compete with The Porsche 911 and Jaguar F-Type. For my money it has both beat dead to rights on appearance, it’ll just be if it can handle and perform like the competition.
