Jeep Wrangler
Some people may dispute if the Jeep Wrangler is a sports utility vehicle. It was just ahead of its time! The Wrangler has all the things that modern small SUV’s have hoped to have and has been doing it since 1987. Well, really it’s been doing it since 1944. However, it was less of a sports utility vehicle in its early iteration. The transformation from jeep to SUV has been a slow one, but it has definitely occurred and the Wrangler definitely belongs on this list.
The Jeep Wrangler has evolved from one of the greatest vehicles of all time. The Willys Jeep was a civilian version of the incredible all purpose jeep that was created for world war 2. It was produced in various models for 42 years to finally be replaced by its spiritual predecessor, the Jeep Wrangler. Each has gone by various names. The Wrangler has been known as the YJ and TJ as well as the Wrangler name that it bears now.
The Jeep Wrangler has a special place in toughest SUVs as it’s the SUV of youth. The two-door Wrangler is the ultimate getaway vehicle for the young and young at heart. It wasn’t always practical. The smaller size and heightened ride height weren’t great for kids. Again, perfect for young people! It’s the perfect SUV for exploring and adventure.
All of these reasons meant that the Wrangler was great for adventure sports. Many a wrangler has had surfboards tied to the roof as it headed down to the beach. The Wrangler was a natural companion for young hikers looking to hike up through the Northern California hills. Whenever a group of college students needed to head up snowboarding, the Wrangler was ready for them!
The Jeep Wrangler was always there for anyone who owned one and shows no signs of not being there for them as the years go by and new adventures are discovered and created.
