Lincoln Navigator
The Lincoln Navigator is a luxury SUV that works as a truck and began production for the 1998 model year. It is the Lincoln version of the Ford Expedition and is the heaviest of any production vehicles that Lincoln has built. Despite being an SUV, it has the capabilities of many of the trucks on this list, with its dependability earning it a spot on this list. The Lincoln Navigator also earns incredibly good reliability ratings, with U.S. News & World Report rating it as among the best. It also has an excellent warranty on the latest models: a 70,000-mile/6-year powertrain warranty and a 50,000-mile/4-year basic warranty.
If you decide to buy a Lincoln Navigator, keep in mind that the 2018 model year was completely redesigned. Because this is technically an SUV instead of a truck, there are no choices for truck bed lengths or cabin styles as with the other dependable pickups on this list. Even so, you still get four trim levels and the choice of rear-wheel drive or 4-wheel drive on all but the Black Label trim, which comes standard with 4WD. There is also the option of a regular wheelbase or extended wheelbase on most trim levels.
Regardless of the Navigator you choose from the most recent model year, you will have a 3.5-liter turbocharged V6. Despite there only being one option, few will be disappointed in this turbo V6 with its 450 horsepower and 500 pound-feet of torque.
As expected from a luxury brand like Lincoln, the Navigator comes standard with a high level of features, particularly in the most recent version. All Navigators now have parking sensors, a hands-free power liftgate, LED headlights, and a trailer towing package. They also feature tri-zone automatic climate control, leather upholstery in the first two rows, and memory settings for the driver. Plus, they feature 8-way power for both front seats, heating and lumbar adjustment for the front seats, power-folding captain’s chairs with heating in the second row, and a 60/40 power-folding third row. The standard tech is also extensive with a 10-inch touchscreen, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Sync3, navigation, a rearview camera, and 14 speakers. Higher trims can upgrade the upholstery and give you features like a wireless charging pad, 24-way power-adjustable front seats complete with ventilation, advanced safety features, and ambient lighting.
