The Honda Civic is a reliable and popular compact car, known for its high-grade cabin, plentiful space, and excellent fuel economy. The Civic is available in multiple configurations, including a sedan, coupe, and hatchback, offering the dependability and versatility drivers need in their daily lives. The Civic Si additionally earned a KBB Five-Year Cost to Own Award, and while that honor does not specify dependability, it does require it. After all, a vehicle that requires frequent repairs would have a very high cost of ownership over the first few years of driving it. There is also a Sports trim with 180 horsepower for those who want more bang for their buck.
Interestingly enough, there were no updates for the 2018 model year of the Civic. In the 2017 model year, Honda finally offered a 6-speed manual in combination with the turbocharged engine and the hatchback made its return. 2017 also saw an expansion of the trim lineup to include the Sport and Sport Touring trim levels. In terms of safety, the Civic has good ratings so you can depend on it to protect you in a collision, but you will need to upgrade to get advanced safety features, although a backup camera is standard.
