8. Dodge Coronet 440
Used by: US Police Force
Coolest feature: Aerodynamic performance
It may look bulky and old-fashioned, but the Dodge Coronet has plenty of features that make for the perfect police car. The engine may not have as much horsepower as, say, Chrysler police cars, but the 440 high-performance engine can run at speeds of up to 141 miles per hour. Body-wise, the Dodge Coronet 440 is way different than the Plymouth Belveder, but the twin loop style actually offers better aerodynamics. This means that during high-speed car chases, the engine and body type is more important than aesthetics – making the Dodge Cornet a suitable car to have in the police force.
