Coolest Police Cars From Around the Globe

7. Desert Patrol Vehicle

Used by: US Border Patrol
Coolest feature: Rough terrain usability

Unlike the cop cars used in city streets, guarding the US border in the southwestern part of the country has totally different requirements. The vehicle should be able to speed through the desert and the driver should be able to withstand extreme heat and rough road conditions. It should also be flexible enough to get through difficult desert terrains. The Desert Patrol Vehicle or DPV fits these requirements, allowing the US Border Patrol to guard the desert part of the country with ease.

The DPV’s engine is that of a Volkswagen and has 200 horsepower. It can run up to 80 miles per hour and has a unique body that can withstand extreme heat, and get through even the roughest desert terrains.
