21. 1968 Plymouth Belvedere Pursuit
Used by: US Highway Patrol
Coolest feature: From zero to 60 miles per hour in seven seconds
It may have a bulky and boxy appearance, but the 1968 Plymouth Belvedere Pursuit car is the perfect vehicle to have when chasing criminals down busy city streets. This speedster came with a 383-cubic inch V8 engine with 330 horsepower. This is probably one of the few car models which have been used in police enforcement, even before the manufacturer started making cars specifically for official patrolling use. The Plymouth was used by the California Highway Patrol in the late 1960s and the State Patrol in the early 1930. Car manufacturer Plymouth only begun making models specifically for police use in the 1950s.
Other notable features of the 1968 Plymouth Belvedere Pursuit are its three-sound siren and the multi-channel DFE radio. This makes for the perfect chase vehicle with speeds reaching 120 miles per hour, and its engine capable of going from zero to 60 miles per hour in seven seconds.
