#7. Lito Sora – Lito
Range: 124 miles
Welcome to the expensive side of superbikes. The Sora is fully equipped with some incredible features which we will get to, but it also comes at a price. The Sora is going to set you back in excess of $77,000. That’s twice the price of a lot of superbikes on here! So why is it so expensive? It’s fast. It’s got a good range. It’s loaded with toys!
Did we mention the Sora is fast? Oh yes, we did. It features a very nice top speed of 118 miles per hour and has a 0-60mph time of only 4.7 seconds. Admittedly the acceleration isn’t superbike fast, but it’s not supposed to be. This is an easily drivable vehicle. It’s a hybrid that combines speed and comfort in a very real way. It’s not a super-powered death machine waiting to happen. High-end suspension and brakes add to the regenerative braking system and provide a stable platform for any driver.
Range anxiety is a measurable part of life for some people. The Sora manages that with a safe range system. It’s very clever and intuitive. You simply open the map and the GPS and touch where you’re going to go. The Sora will tell you the chances of getting there on the charge based on your driving style. This means if you’re only a 70% chance to get somewhere based on performance, you can enjoy a little bit of rip-roaring action and then just drive reasonably the rest of the way. That touch screen GPS is very useful not just for the safe range system, but of course for helping you with directions. Getting lost on an electric bike can be a disaster and needs to be avoided at almost every cost.
It’s certainly a fine piece of machinery. However, coming back to that price is a problem. It’s just so high in comparison to a lot of great options here. While luxurious, it’s a bit exorbitant to make it to the very top of our list of the best motorcycles.
