The Brutus V9 fits the ethos of the brand to a tee. It is, in fact, a true brute! That’s certainly not something you’d expect from most motorcycles on this list. Electric vehicles have always been painted as sort of dainty. They lack the ruggedness of petrol engines. The Brutus has all the ruggedness you could want and somehow manages to still have a great range.
Let’s start with the price because it’s important. The V9 starts at $32,490. So it’s not as expensive as a couple of the superbikes on here, but it’s certainly within shouting distance. For that kind of price, you better be getting an electric bike that can provide you with an authentic motorcycle experience. The Brutus V9 gives you all of that and more.
Range depends on a few factors. There are two battery options. It’s going to make a big difference if you choose the 18.8 KWh or the 33.7 kWh battery options. However, if you choose the correct options, you get a beast that is more than willing to travel long distances with you in relative comfort.

Obviously, from the look of it, you know the V9 isn’t a track bike. It’s meant for being driven on America’s highways in comfort. To make that a bit more thrilling, the V9 can actually get up to 115 mph! That’s a very impressive top speed compared to most electric bikes. This is all thanks to the 125 horsepower and 277 lb-ft of torque that the electric motor spins out.
The Brutus actually also comes in a law enforcement trim as well. So if you are a police department looking for a new set of bikes, the V9 can be outfitted for your needs. Admittedly this might lead to a police chase being called off due to a battery running out, but it would be a good budget option for police departments that have been spending too much on gas.
