Zero offers their electric motorcycle in two options, the S and the SR. To be fair, it’s actually three different options as the S is broken up into the S ZF6.5 and the S ZF13.0. Got all that? Does it all make sense? Good.

The price for the Zero motorcycles starts at $10,995 for the base S ZF6.5 and rises up to 15,995.00 for the Zero SR. That being said, you’re probably going to want to indulge in some optional extras, as a quick charge option makes life much easier. Additionally, each comes with options including their “power tanks”. It adds up to additional battery storage and an increased range. The S ZF13.0 plus power pack is advertised to hit 202 miles of range when performing city driving. If you don’t want the power pack, you can opt for a charge pack which will reduce the charging time at stations. It’s important to note however that they are mutually exclusive. You can’t use both power and charge packs on the same bike.

An interesting thing about the optional power pack is it’s not an option that needs to be installed before you purchase the bike. If you choose to add it later, you can do so at any time by simply bringing your bike back to the dealership.

While this isn’t the fastest bike or have the best range without the power pack, it’s a great value and allows you to customize the bike to fit your exact needs. In addition to the optional packs, the bike can be fitted to an app on your phone allowing you to check charge anywhere, or manually limit the top speed of the bike to keep your instincts from getting the best of you. These little technological touches are great for a bike at this price!
