The Eva is the entry level bike from Energica. We say entry level, except this bike is a super bike in its own way. Just because it’s intended to pound the pavement instead of hitting the track doesn’t make it any less of a beautiful bike. The Eva is similar to its bigger brother the Ego and shares a lot of the same equipment. The Eva isn’t that much lower on price either. The Eva comes in over $34,000 most of the time and can go higher if you choose a few options. That being said, you generally don’t need to. The Eva is equipped with almost everything you could want when it comes to technological advances and toys.
The Eva is a streetfighter of the highest level and provides a little more comfort than pure racing bikes will. Seeing as Energica is using new technology in getting away from a petrol powered bike, it makes sense they would work on adding additional technology to make your ride and life better. The Eva features an integrated VCU. It controls everything about the vehicle like the battery charge ABS and inverter. The idea is that while you’re braking, you’ve inverted and are generating electricity. If you turn the regeneration up to its highest level, it can even help function to avoid brake tapping. This lets you smoothly drive using just the throttle grips.

Is 95 horsepower enough? Honestly, yes. It’s going to provide you with plenty of power. Like many electric bikes, there’s no clutch or gears. Electric power doesn’t require the shift and can be delivered in one seamless stream. The Eva offers up various driving modes like eco, rain and urban. Are these the most exciting modes? Absolutely not. That’s not their job. Their job is to provide you with sustainable distance and safety. When it’s time for fun, shift to sport and enjoy!
