The INFINITI QX60 is now in the 2019 model year, and this luxury crossover now comes with more advanced safety features as standard. The INFINITI QX60 features three rows of seats, helping it appeal to families who want a luxurious ride. Even so, it only weighs 4,500 pounds, adding to its competitive edge.
Performance
The 2019 QX60 lineup all uses the same powertrain. The 3.5-liter V6 delivers 295 horsepower and always pairs with a continuously variable transmission. That CVT works nice and unobtrusively, and the standard active noise cancellation ensures that you do not have to listen to the occasional loud tone from the V6. Those looking for the QX60 hybrid will have to go back a few model years as INFINITI discontinued it two years ago. The combination of V6 with CVT lets the QX60 achieve 22 mpg combined. This SUV comes standard with a front-wheel drive, although you can also opt for an all-wheel drive if you prefer. The QX60 can tow as much as 5,000 pounds, a very competitive figure.
Styling Inside and Out

Despite its 4,500-pound weight, the INFINITI QX60 looks nice and svelte. The puckered front grille has a floating badge framed by headlights. Along the profile, you will spot long chrome strips leading to the crescent-shaped kickback. The roofline follows the common trend among three-row vehicles of sloping towards the back of the auto. Most of the QX60 lineup comes with metal, wood, leather, or a combination of those materials. If you go with the base model, you will have synthetic leather that is still luxurious, but few drivers go with this version.
Interior Comfort and Space
Although the 2019 INFINITI QX60 has three rows of seats, the third row is certainly cramped for anyone other than children. The front seats are incredibly comfortable though. Additionally, you can slide the second-row seats forward and back 5.5 inches to make accessing the third row or maximizing leg room a breeze. If you have all three rows of seats occupied, the QX60 just has enough storage for 16 cubic feet. Folding down the third-row increases this figure dramatically to 40.5 cubic feet. Or store the second row as well to get a very useful 76.5 cubic feet.
Safety
Overall, the 2019 QX60 earns great ratings for its safety. The NHTSA awarded it an overall five-star rating while the IIHS gave it almost all good ratings, except for an acceptable grade for passenger-side small overlap crash protection and a poor rating for the headlights. The INFINITI QX60 does better than last year in terms of safety features thanks to newly standard driver assistance features. Now all models have airbags, stability control, and blind-spot monitors. There is also a ProAssist suite available with active lane control, lane departure warning, and adaptive cruise control. The suite is also designed to minimize fatigue during long drives.

Every 2019 QX60 comes with at least heated seats, synthetic leather upholstery, five USB charge ports, forward-collision warning, blind-spot monitors, automatic emergency braking, and an 8-inch infotainment display. Moving up adds in a heated steering wheel, remote start, and premium audio with options like leather upholstery, rear-seat entertainment, and advanced safety features. The top trim has a power-folding third row, heated rear seats, cooled and heated front seats, and more to deliver the height of luxury.
