The 2018 Acura NSX somehow manages to deliver supercar performance in a vehicle that you can actually drive every day if you want. While it is certainly pricey, those who can afford this auto will appreciate its incredibly sleek styling, extensive technology, and fun performance. The 2018 NSX is essentially unchanged from the previous model year, but you are unlikely to find any faults since it was completely new for 2017 and all-around impressive.

Supercar Styling

It only takes a glance at the 2018 Acura NSX to confirm that this is a supercar. It sits low and wide with a rear wedge shape similar to that of other supercars. The combination of composite and aluminum panels keeps weight down. Plus, you can opt for a carbon-fiber roof if you want. The entire body has been carefully sculpted to balance out the downforce, minimize aerodynamic drag, and take in all the air the performance parts need to stay cool.

Incredible Performance Components

Performance is one area where the NSX will not disappoint. The turbocharged V6 engine is mounted longitudinally along the rear axle. It works with an electric motor separating this engine from the 9-speed dual-clutch transmission. In addition, you will find two additional electric motors on the front axle. Those front motors work to deliver all-wheel drive and torque vectoring. Factor in the lithium-ion battery in front of the NSX’s rear motor and you have the full system. All the components go together to deliver 476 pound-feet and 573 horsepower.

While there are certainly vehicles with more impressive figures than these, they are even more expensive. Not to mention you should not have a problem with the NSX’s ability to go from 0 to 60 mph in 3 seconds and the top speed of 191 mph. The only downside is that despite the hybrid powertrain, the 2018 NSX only gets 21 mpg. You do, however, get to choose from four driving modes, including Track, Sport, Sport+, and Quiet.

Luxurious and Comfortable

The cabin of the 2018 Acura NSX is definitely luxurious with its leather coverings and optional carbon-fiber trim. Just keep in mind that you will have to pay extra for power seats. Rear visibility is also poor, something Acura makes up for with parking sensors and a rearview camera. Moving back to positives, the glass is thick and the rear window has acoustic glass, blocking out much of the exterior noise.

The list of standard features on the NSX is essentially all-inclusive. It includes Alcantara and leather seats, leather on the instrument panel, keyless ignition, ambient lighting, a tilt-and-telescoping steering wheel, and staggered 19- and 20-inch wheels. Standard tech is similarly all-inclusive, with a 7-inch touchscreen for the infotainment system, Bluetooth, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, eight speakers, two USB ports, and HD radio.

Customization Available

For those who have money to spare, the Acura NSX can have everything you want. The Technology Package delivers navigation, parking sensors in the front and rear, Acura Link, and nine speakers. There are also Carbon Fiber Trim Interior and Exterior Sport Packages, plus carbon ceramic brakes, full power seats, and more. Simply put, for those who want a quick and luxurious vehicle with a hybrid engine, the Acura NSX is a great choice; just don’t expect hybrid fuel economy.
