Ferrari F50

The Ferrari F50 is one of the vehicles produced solely during the 1990s, specifically between 1995 and 1997. During this period, Ferrari made 349 units, making it pretty rare and driving up its value. The Ferrari F50 is a two-seater with two doors and a removable hardtop. The only downside of this top was that you couldn’t store it in the car. Instead, Ferrari included a small canvas canopy if you wanted to drive without the top and rain hit.
It uses a 4.7-liter naturally aspirated V12. Interestingly enough, that V12 is based on the 3.5-liter V12 from the 1990 Ferrari 641 Formula One model, giving it a reputation for power and giving you an idea of just what this auto could do. In fact, Ferrari advertised it as being the closest you could get to a Formula One auto while still being road legal. The power output was listed at 520 bhp at 8,000 rpm.

The F50 featured Pininfarina styling like other Ferraris. However, it had few common features, other than the traditional rear light treatment and side indent line in satin black finish. Compared to its predecessor, the F40, it had a more radical rear wing, along with lots of curves. Overall, the F50 prioritized aerodynamic functionality instead of aesthetics, which doesn’t mean that the latter was lacking. There were five color choices, including two different shades of red in addition to silver, black, and yellow.
Following the trend of the F40, the Ferrari F50 came standard with air conditioning and composite shelled seats with leather upholstery and cloth centers. Drivers could opt for “large” seats instead of the standard ones if they preferred. The instrument panel came in the form of a multicolored illuminated display panel in front of the driving position, a more modern take on the previous auto’s traditional dials.
