The Spider is one of the most stunning 2 seater roadsters Italy has ever produced. We love the Spider because for the 30 years the Spider was produced, Alfa Romeo only made minor design & mechanical updates, a Spider from the 60s looks interchangeable with a Spider from 1992.
We love the Series 2 Spiders, Alfa Romeo slimmed down the body by chopping by the boat tail to give a sleeker design. The series 2 first hit the roads in 1970, boasting a top speed of 118 mph (190km/h) on an 110 hp twin engine. In the mid-70s, the Spider added 2 rear seats, although now I’d only suggest having very small passengers in the rear seats. Although Alfa ended production of the Spider in 1994, in 2015 Fiat rolled out a Spider for anyone who lived the old spider design with modern-day interior & engine.
