There’s been a lot of cars that have tried to evoke a retro style. Most of them fall flat on their face. However, when the Prowler was designed, the engineers had full autonomy. They were told they needed to create a retro hot rod style vehicle. What came out was the Plymouth Prowler.

The Prowler was such a huge departure from anything else on the market at the time. While it had a 214 horsepower engine, it didn’t feature a manual transmission. So while it was designed after the insane hot rods of the past, it wasn’t meant to travel as fast as they are.

The Prowler is a cool showpiece that only was made for a half dozen years. However, it showed that companies are able to take risks to make some cool cars!
