Nissan GT-R
The Nissan GT-R for 2019 is an attention-grabbing car that is sure to please even the most discriminating driver, showing modern sports cars certainly deserve a spot on this list. Its 3.8-liter twin-turbocharged V6 engine delivers an amazing 565 horsepower, while the available NISMO roars out 600 horsepower. The All-Wheel-Drive version sports an independent rear-mounted transaxle and forged alloy wheels.
There are four GT-R models from which to choose: The Pure, Premium, Track Edition, and the powerful NISMO. In most respects, the four models have similar features, both mechanical and technological. But there are some differences, and not just in the price tags.
The Pure is the base model priced at just a little under a hundred grand. The Nissan Navigation System keeps you on the right track while the Apple CarPlay, NissanConnect Services, and NissanConnect 8-inch touchscreen display keep you entertained and connected as you drive. The audio and navigation are activated by voice recognition for undistracted driving. You can get SiriusXM Traffic and Travel Link on a three-month complimentary trial basis. Start the engine with just a push of the ignition button when used in tandem with the Nissan Intelligent Key.
You’ll ride in comfort on the front seats that are leather with synthetic suede inserts. Optionally, you may choose semi-aniline leather upholstery that is hand-stitched. The driver’s seat adjusts eight ways, and the passenger’s seat adjusts four ways for personal comfort. Choose between NISMO Alcantara or leather wrapping on the steering wheel.
Step up a notch with the Premium model that sports a titanium exhaust system with exhaust sound control. In addition to the features of the Pure, the Premium offers a Bose audio system, active noise cancellation and enhancement, and the option of choosing black and red Recaro® leather-appointed upholstery on the front seats.
The next step up, the Track Edition, features a NISMO-tuned suspension, a carbon-fiber trunk lid, and is priced at under $129,000. Not only is the steering wheel and gearshift knob leather-wrapped, but so is the parking brake lever. The top of the GT-R line is the NISMO. It is aerodynamically designed and boasts of a carbon-fiber rear and front fascia, trunk lid, trunk lid spoiler, and side sills. The NISMO Recaro® leather with synthetic suede upholstery for the front seats will cradle you in comfort as you test the upper limits of the 600-horsepower engine available for the asking. The machined aluminum and carbon-fiber interior trim add that subtle touch of class.
