Jeep 4SPEED
Another relatively recent concept vehicle, the Jeep 4SPEED is 950 pounds lighter than a typical Jeep Wrangler. This provides enough breathing room for its stock suspension to lift the vehicle around two inches. This is a follow-up to previous Jeep concepts based on the Wrangler, including the Pork Chop in 2011 and Stitch in 2013. Both of those were also ultra-stripped lightweight concepts. The Jeep 4SPEED has a raked windshield for a more aerodynamic appearance and it uses the 2.0-liter turbocharged engine from Jeep with an 8-speed automatic. There are Dana 44 axles in the front and the rear, 35-inch mud terrain tires, and a 4.10 gear ratio. It comes with a single-piece rear tub made from carbon fiber and a hood of the same material.
This Jeep is such a beast that the exterior design manager, Chris Piscitelli, has stated it can be driven to a vertical wall and crawl right over it. That’s because it is designed for the purest of off-road adventurers. Though the production count is currently just one, it is a prototype that is completely drivable. It’s a good thing too because with a price tag estimated at $100,000, it will need to have fans after it from the very beginning.
