Lexus has chosen a styling trademark. The spindle grille has been added on every single vehicle for the last several years. Lexus has said that is who they are. Alright! Some people like it, some people don’t. But at least they are consistent. The plan behind this concept was flawed and thankfully didn’t head towards production.
What The Public Thought of It
People who buy subcompact cars usually aren’t attempting to start vehicular warfare. People thought it was a neat vehicle in some ways, but that it had lost the plot when it came to styling. People were a bit put off at the thought of Lexus making a subcompact anyway. If the option is to purchase an expensive tiny car, then it’s more likely the buyer will purchase a larger car. There’s a size to luxury ratio that matters! This vehicle would be far too high on the luxury part of that ratio.
